Family safety & audience

Short policy for Cadence 7 Family Learning. Source of truth also lives in-repo as docs/FAMILY_SAFETY_AUDIENCE_POLICY.md.

Purpose

Vidya is adult-led. Caregivers choose what to share. We do not claim a child-safe open social product, teen network, or unsupervised child accounts.

Audience labels

Adult: Intended for adult study. Not a bedtime child story.
Family: Shared adult–child reading. Adult stays present.
Child: Child-facing story or prompt. Still requires adult gate and adult presence. Labels are honest tags — not certifications.

Adult gate

Before child-facing body copy or child-role view, an adult acknowledges they will stay present. Acknowledgment is stored device-local — no child PII.

What we do not do

No teen open social or public child forums
No DMs between children
No claim that AI “supervises” children
No fake scholar certification of family conclusions
Ask Saarthi stays free and is not a child product surface

Trust inheritance

Family content reuses Trusted Wisdom Network claim language. Bedtime stories are editorial family corpus — not “scholar-certified for children.” See /trust.
